" Who's Speaking life into you?"
While experiencing a storm we search for God to identify with us through ministers or some sort of spiritual figure... Right??
We often do not recognize the unholy manifestations, the dangers, etc.We don’t pay enough attention to those who labor among us–and lay hands upon us. While I am still maturing in my spiritual relationship with God I tend to cling to him even more when going through a personal storm. I become more egger to hear a word from God. While coming to the place of worship (Church) with high expectations for God to speak directly to me. (Yearning for Gods attention and understanding). I would sit there and say "Lord send a message directly from you to the man of God only for me". (Selfish Huh?) Since growing up in church I learned that we must be observant of who speaks over us in those down times. Mostly in life period. (Hint.Words have power). Nevertheless, the warning can become too strong in displaying how very careful we, the Temple of God, needs to be on exercising discernment, wisdom, and ‘PLAIN' OLD COMMON SENSE- concerning who we allow to lay hands upon us in prayer.
Do you realize when we willingly allow others to lay hands upon us, we are actually spiritually submitting to this person[s] AND to what they are attempting to impart on us? If we know the person and their walk with God, it can be a powerful thing.
"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.. James 5:14"
It is so vital to understand that every Christian believer has a God-given authority over their own “temple” so-to-speak. Yes – it is important to repent before God with true “godly sorrow” if you have opened yourself up to these spirits. But it is also vital to know that you can COMMAND these things to go in the name of Jesus Christ! We must understand that: Apostles, Prophets Pastors etc. are not the only ones who can speak to things and call them as they should be. You have to be your own prophet in your life before you can receive anything from anybody else. YOU have the anointing of God flowing through you. The anointing of God is the Holy Spirit. He flows as a river of love, from the throne of grace,* Inserts Praise break* but through the hearts of believers, bringing life to all that receive His touch.
Am I going too far? Lol ... I must go deeper!
Ordinarily we realize that what is being spoken isn't of God,however our flesh wants to have its own way.I discovered that If we have the Holy Ghost...Everything the Holy Ghost does is affirmed by the Word... RIGHT? We never want to become dependent on the tongues and elucidations. We should quantify tongues and exhibitions by the Word.
